This blog tempts to give an account of our involvement as volunteers with the Van Stadens wildflower reserve.
It covers our ups and downs from 2011 to our farewell at the end of 2022. The story is told from a personal perspective but, of course, it took the participation of many more people, not least our small band of regulars who contributed on a weekly basis.
Time waits for no one so this story will lose its relevance over time but it shows the difference a small band of dedicated people can make towards the conservation of a precious piece of the landscape which perhaps does not always gets the attention it deserves.
